Set up the free Discord bot

Create your account and connect Discord#

Start at /signup/discord. Sign up with email or Discord. Your dashboard shows the next setup step. Signing up for the free bot does not start a paid trial.

Click Verify Discord in your dashboard. Authorize your linked Discord account to join TweetStream, then accept the server rules in Discord. Email users can link their Discord account in the same step. Your dashboard checks for access automatically. Verification unlocks member channels and Speed Check. The community is separate from the server where your feed will appear.

Install the bot and choose a channel#

• Choose Add bot to your server in the dashboard. A server admin can install the bot for you, but your linked Discord account needs Manage Server or Administrator permission to connect the server.
• Run /setup in that server to choose the feed channel. Only your linked Discord account can manage the feed. Give the bot View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, and Attach Files permissions.
• Use /channel to change the delivery channel. Each TweetStream account connects to one server. To move it, your linked Discord account needs Manage Server or Administrator permission in the new server. Run /setup there and confirm the move; delivery to the old server stops.

Manage your shared X watchlist#

• Use /add to add X accounts, /list to inspect the list, and /remove to stop tracking accounts.
• The bot and dashboard share one watchlist. Adding or removing an account changes the same saved list used by your other eligible TweetStream delivery paths.
• Free bot delivery uses the newest 50 saved X accounts. Older entries remain saved and paused. Review the list before removing accounts you still need elsewhere.
• Wait for a tracked account to publish a new post. A successful add confirms tracking; it does not mean a post has already been delivered.

Your plan and reminders#

Run /me to see your own plan, tracking limit, and renewal or trial-end date. The reply is private. Your base plan and Ultra subscription appear separately.

Turn on Billing reminders by DM in your dashboard, then send a test message. Reminders go to the linked feed owner. If Discord blocks a DM, billing details stay private and email reminders continue independently.

Trial-ending reminders arrive within the final 24 hours for Minimum and Pro, or 12 hours for Ultra. Card renewal reminders start three days before renewal. Stablecoin reminders start three days before monthly renewal or fourteen days before annual renewal. Messages show the current payment action or access-end date.

Free bot and paid access#

Free access covers X posts in the Discord bot at standard speed. The bot currently supports X only. WebSocket access, other sources, history, and customer webhooks require the applicable paid plan or eligible trial.

Existing customers can use the bot on the same account. Accounts covered by your Ultra subscription use Ultra speed. Other accounts use standard speed.

Use the same TweetStream account if you later choose a paid plan. Your saved watchlist stays shared. Each delivery path follows its own plan limits.

If setup or delivery is blocked#

• Already have a TweetStream account? Sign in to it before linking Discord. If the Discord identity belongs to another account, use that account or contact support; do not create another account to bypass linking.
• Membership still pending? Open Discord, complete the community rules, and check again. If verification is temporarily unavailable, retry later.
• No posts arriving? Check /list, the configured channel, and the bot’s channel permissions. A quiet X account may not have posted since you added it.
• Existing customers can dismiss the dashboard link or join reminder and continue using their account. It does not reset the customer server or block existing access.
