Questions about these numbers
Why do latency numbers differ between vendors?
Vendors start the clock at different points: their own server, their client, or X's timestamp. This report starts at X's timestamp, so compare it only with numbers that start there too.
What does the time leave out?
The WebSocket hop to your host, which depends on where your host runs, plus your own processing and order execution.
What do p25, p50 and p95 mean?
Each is the time within which 25%, 50% or 95% of posts were detected. Lower is faster, and single posts vary with load on X.
How can I test latency on my own watchlist?
Start a trial, track the accounts you trade on, and connect from your own host. Log when each post arrives and compare it with its X timestamp.
